Fidel Fita Fund

The collection
La local collection, originated from the old Fidel Fita Municipal Museum, closed to public now due to room problems, comprises various collections:

- The archaeological findings from different excavations sites of the town: the Iberic settlement of Torre dels Encantats and the ancient Roman villa of Valldemaria.

- The nautical collection recalling the times during which Arenys de Mar stood out for its commercial and seafaring activities, specially in the 18th and 19th Centuries.

- 17th to 19th Centuries pieces of Catalan tile.

- 4 Catalan household clocks made in Arenys by the Roca family between 1775 and the beginning of 19th Century.

- Pieces of local traditions.

- 14th to 19th centuries religious imagery

In this web page, you can find some of the most outstanding pieces making up this collection, which will be shown in a series of exhibitions organized by the Arenys de Mar Museum.
