The Museum

The Mollfulleda Museum of Mineralogy was created from Mr. Joaquim Mollfulleda i Borrell donation of his private collections to the town of Arenys de Mar.

This Museum shows an interesting exhibit of minerals from the most important mineral fields worldwide, with outstanding and uncommon pieces. The collection is systematically classified with indication of the main physical and chemical properties and a complete paragenesis of various Spanish sites. At the first floor, the Catalonian Mineral Museum is a sample compilation from practically every district of the Catalan mineralogy, from the oldest fields to the latest findings. Both museums make up a documentary, historical and pedagogical ensemble, with spectacular pieces of great interest and value because of their uncommonness.
